Hello Fellow Knights, The feeling of being a full night is more than I can say. In my mind I thought that you must put in many, many years of volunteer service to advance in to a full knight hood. I was struck with the warmest feeling of accomplishment and almost broke down while standing in line to be knighted. Vince I thank you i have watched you in service and action , If i can bring 1/4 of what you have done for 9759 then i can truly feel like i have made a difference as a knight of Columbus.

I am an inactive 1st degree Knight and would like to transfer and activate my membership to this Council. Related to this, I am interested in helping the Knights wherever I can (albeit difficult with four children and current job). Regardless, I know that I can help out periodically and stand ready to do so. My member number is 3425879, Council 3071 (Midland, Tx). I have been inactive for over a decade.

"Fortune knocks but once, but misfortune has much more patience."
 Daily Bible Verse (NIV)
2 Corinthians 8:7-14

But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.

I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

And here is my judgment about what is best for you in this matter. Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so. Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.

Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality,
