Hello Fellow Knights, The feeling of being a full night is more than I can say. In my mind I thought that you must put in many, many years of volunteer service to advance in to a full knight hood. I was struck with the warmest feeling of accomplishment and almost broke down while standing in line to be knighted. Vince I thank you i have watched you in service and action , If i can bring 1/4 of what you have done for 9759 then i can truly feel like i have made a difference as a knight of Columbus.

My contact information is James.w.fitzpatrick@cop.com. Refer to prior posting for my request.

I am an inactive 1st degree Knight and would like to transfer and activate my membership to this Council. Related to this, I am interested in helping the Knights wherever I can (albeit difficult with four children and current job). Regardless, I know that I can help out periodically and stand ready to do so. My member number is 3425879, Council 3071 (Midland, Tx). I have been inactive for over a decade.

I just saw this Journal Entry post, so I thought I would.  As an accountant, I love "Journal Entries".

As a Knight for over 25 years, I can truly say that I have given more to the Knights of Columbus than I will ever receive....on this earth.  My thought is that I am working towards my retirement in Heaven (or at least lessening the time I spend in purgatory....).

Use your God given talents and remember, He only gave them to you.

"One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas I'll never know."
 Daily Bible Verse (NIV)
James 3:13-18

Two Kinds of Wisdom

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
